WHAT DOES WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT MEAN TO YOU?

Women’s empowerment means lifting each other up and not comparing ourselves to others out of fear for our own self-worth. There is room for everybody, and that is something that should be celebrated and not taken for granted.

How will you celebrate this month?

I will continue to do what I can to open doors for more women to shine and encourage others to do the same.

Which artists from the past and present inspire you?

I am inspired by so many. One of the first songs I ever learned was “At Last” by Etta James and she as an artist has inspired me so much. Other artists like Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, SZA, Amy Winehouse, Adele, and so many more have broken boundaries in the music industry and I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without them.
