Creating “really big, sometimes scary” goals is what helps Jennie Bunce, a Tier 3 trainer at Southport in Connecticut, keep up dedication and drive in her fitness and wellness routines. “I give myself a deadline and then I set smaller goals that build up to the big one,” she explains. For example, a big goal of hers is to do an Ironman by 2024, while her goal for 2021 is to run a sprint-distance triathlon. “Whenever I don't feel like doing something, whether it's fitness- or wellness-related, I think about my goal and ask myself ‘What would Jennie the Ironman do?’ or ‘What is going to get me that much closer to this goal?’"
