But how many times are you readjusting the 'do? The simple faux fishtail braid solves that issue. According to Justine Marjan, stylist and editorial director for <strong><a href=http://maneaddicts.com/ target=_blank>Mane Addicts</a></strong>, this chic look keeps hair secure. "And you won't have to worry about fly-aways," she says. Marjan says this fun take on the regular braid is good for <strong><a href=/articles/2015/09/toughest-yoga-pose>yoga</a></strong>, Pilates, and <strong><a href=/articles/2015/08/mastering-the-tuck>barre</a></strong> classes—but it could really go with any workout. Watch the how-to video and read on for Marjan's step-by-step instructions for the faux fishtail braid.<p style=background:#fff><strong>Step 1</strong> Gather hair into a low ponytail and secure with a hair elastic.<p style=background:#fff><strong>Step 2</strong> Create a very loose regular three-strand braid only partially down the hair, then secure with another hair elastic.<p style=background:#fff><strong>Step 3</strong> Tug on either side of the braid to loosen it up.<p style=background:#fff><strong>Step 4</strong> Split hair down the middle and loop the pony through.<p style=background:#fff><strong>Step 5</strong> Tug on the ponytail so it is pulled tightly through; then use your fingers to pinch and pull on the outer edges of the braid to loosen it.
