— Equinox, the unquestioned leader of luxury lifestyle, opens the first Equinox Hotel at Hudson Yards, representing a true inflection point in the larger cultural conversation and the dawn of a new era in luxury travel. Equinox Hotels embodies the same holistic philosophy as Equinox Fitness Clubs and redefines “luxury” as the ultimate in experience and “travel” as a seamless extension of a life well- lived. Each detail, curated to empower guests with tools that simplify the complex interplay between work, rest, decadence and discipline, is part of a connected 360-degree lifestyle travel experience, and truly “For Those Who Want It All.”
From a room envisioned top to bottom for sleep as a non-negotiable, to fitness fueled by the world’s top talent and culinary offerings that feed every need, Equinox Hotels was conceived as a place where compromise simply doesn’t exist. Built to inspire a community of like-minded individuals and anchored by fitness and culture, the brand is for those who want to rest and play as hard as they train and work in pursuit of maximizing their potential. The club and hotel are seamlessly connected via a singular digital platform, enabling personalized anticipatory service and removing obstacles from the guest journey upon arrival.
“Equinox’s continued innovation has fueled our unrivaled position as a cultural provocateur for nearly 30 years.” said Harvey Spevak, Executive Chairman, Managing Partner, Equinox. “The Equinox Hotel stands as a global destination for those who want it all and marks the holistic realization of our brand promise. We have been relentless in our pursuit of excellence and establishedtheultimate high- performance experience."

" said Chris Norton, CEO of Equinox Hotels. "We are disrupting the industry and reinventing the typical hotel stay by creating a fully- integrated environment, while simultaneously redefining modern luxury."
With interior spaces by David Rockwell/Rockwell Group, exterior spaces by Ken Smith Workshop and Rockwell Group and building design by David Childs/SOM, the property, with its arrival experience set in a private plaza at 33 Hudson Yards, features 212 rooms, including 48 suites, as well as a Joyce Wang- designed Equinox Fitness Club and Spa. Each guest room is designed to create and enhance an environment of regeneration and rest with advanced soundproofing, next-generation blackout shades, integrated technology for effortless personalization and a proprietary sleep system.
Hudson Yards was selected as the site for the first Equinox Hotel because it’s emblematic of the future of New York City. Poised to be the new epicenter of culture, arts and culinary for high performers across the globe, Hudson Yards will be anchored by Equinox Hotels as a destination for visitors and locals alike.
Amenities further anchor a high performance lifestyle, offering the largest-ever-built 60,000-square foot Equinox Fitness Club, as well as E by Equinox, the brand’s most personalized portfolio offering. Hotel guests, who become Equinox Fitness Clubs members for the duration of their stay, have access to a comprehensive movement, nutrition and regeneration experience including signature group fitness classes, a 25-yard indoor salt water pool with hot and cold plunge pools, results-driven personal training programs, as well as access to the 15,000 square foot outdoor leisure pool and sundeck featuring Broken Coconut, a health-conscious, fast casual culinary concept offering food and cocktails.
Electric Lemon, the hotel’s main restaurant and bar by Restaurateur Stephen Starr and STARR Group, features an 8,000 square-foot outdoor terrace with views over Manhattan and the Hudson River.
Helmed by Executive Chef Kyle Knall, the restaurant menu will feature light, balanced, and bright mid- Atlantic cuisine, designed to be thoughtful but not restrictive. Dishes are ingredient-driven and designed to balance flavor and fuel with equal measure, and will be available to guest’s in-room, in social spaces and in the restaurant itself, meeting the high performance traveler across the guest journey.
Equinox Hotels continues its ethos to re-define the traditional definition of luxury hospitality with an in- room dining program that is equal parts creative and innovative and activates a 360-degree holistic lifestyle. The program features a lifestyle-focused menu designed around high performance that targets various factors such as time of day, and function. From a robust breakfast menu, flowing into all day dining, and culminating in a sleep well offering, the menu goes beyond food, with guests also having access to in-room, on-demand IV vitamin drips for an extra boost of energy or hydration, and truly caters to any mood.
The expansive Spa by Equinox Hotels, launching this fall, will emphasize recovery and was conceived to serve as a central pillar within Equinox’s holistic philosophy on high performance living. Crafted collaboratively by movement performance, body, and skincare experts and backed by Equinox’s proprietary Health Advisory Board, the Spa emphasizes recovery-based treatments that feature the latest in science-grounded technology, as well as timeless regeneration and relaxation techniques. Treatments will include the microJET Streaming and Infusion 3-phase treatment for anti-aging and pigmentation, techno-therapies such as an infrared sauna, cryotherapy, and quantum harmonics chambers, in addition to massage and bodywork treatments.
Not compromising on style, Equinox Hotels tapped stylist Kate Young, in partnership with Lady & Butler, to collaborate on the uniform aesthetic, with pieces that are sleek, timeless and textural - a style that is synonymous with Equinox as a brand and elevates the experience from the Club to the Hotel. The inspiration for the collection came from a multitude of things deemed to be classically New York – primarily the Equinox brand DNA, the texture of the Manhattan skyline, and true 90s minimalism, but also as a reflection of the modernity of Hudson Yards as a neighborhood, where Uptown meets Downtown.
Future Equinox Hotels are now confirmed for key international gateway cities including Los Angeles, Santa Clara, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and Houston with several other sites under development.
