(June 27, 2019 New York, NY) - Equinox, the global high performance lifestyle leader, opens its 100th fitness club at 32 Hudson Yards on June 27, 2019. The highly anticipated opening will be followed by the launch of the first Equinox Hotel in Hudson Yards in July 2019, and is poised to give members and hotel guests the ultimate luxury lifestyle and fitness experience with unparalleled amenities and services.

Equinox, which launched in 1991 as a single fitness club on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, has for almost thirty years pushed the boundaries of the health and fitness landscape across the U.S., Canada and London. Equinox’s centennial club is the brand’s truest realization of its holistic lifestyle promise, with ample opportunity across the Equinox at Hudson Yards footprint for training, working, regenerating, socializing, community building, eating and more.

Located in the heart of Hudson Yards, one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in NYC, the 60,000 square foot fitness club, Equinox’s largest yet, embraces high performance at a grand, new scale, giving members access to signature group fitness classes, a performance-driven spa and a 25-yard indoor salt water pool and hot and cold plunge pools. The expansive two-floor club offers opportunity for personalized activities to suit a variety of goals, from Equinox’s lauded, results-driven personal training programs to private Pilates in a dedicated studio.

“Equinox architected the ‘fitness as lifestyle’ conversation and has always defined trends rather than following them, which is why we selected Hudson Yards as the site for our 100th club,” said Harvey Spevak, Executive Chairman, Managing Partner, Equinox. “Equinox Hudson Yards is a true culmination of our brand promise, representing our ongoing commitment to innovation and the future of the brand’s trailblazing point of view both inside and outside the four walls of our fitness clubs.”

One of the standout features of the club is a 15,000 square foot outdoor leisure pool and sundeck, with daybeds set against unobstructed views of the surrounding cityscape and Hudson Yards’ soaring landmark, Vessel. An E by Equinox – the brand’s most elevated and highly personalized club experience – also has a presence at Equinox Hudson Yards. The intimate, science-fueled environment includes luxurious amenities, Tier X holistic lifestyle coaching, including sleep and nutrition coaching and more, all in partnership with our world renowned Health Advisory Board.

Designed in collaboration with award-winning and internationally acclaimed design firm, Joyce Wang Studio, the club draws influences from the character of its unique urban neighborhood. Constructed to showcase the contrast between the rawness of the railroads and refined forms of celebrated architecture, the design highlights the unique position of Equinox Hudson Yards as a sanctuary that facilitates the elevation of body and mind.

Equinox instructors are teaming up to utilize the incomparable space that is the Vessel to deliver groundbreaking fitness programs. Classes include a cardio and agility challenge spanning one vertical mile and covering 2,500 steps, body-weight training stops at designated points of the 80 expansive landings, as well as a unique Hudson Yards experience class that make use of the entire complex ending with a sprint to the top. Acclaimed group fitness instructors join the cast of stars leading a full range of HIIT, yoga, barre, cycling and innovative signature classes such as Master of One, Precision Run, and Equinox’s newest group fitness format, Band Burn.

The Spa by Equinox Hotels, opening this fall, will bring revolutionary treatments grounded in regeneration to Equinox Hotel guests, Equinox Fitness Club members and visitors alike. Treatments will include the microJET Streaming and Infusion 3-phase treatment for anti-aging and pigmentation, techno-therapies such as an infrared sauna, cryotherapy, and quantum harmonics chambers, in addition to massage and bodywork treatments.

A Juice Press featuring a full smoothie bar, including items exclusive to Equinox Hudson Yards, is available for members to refuel. Equinox has also partnered with health-conscious, fast casual restaurant, Broken Coconut to open its second outpost at Equinox Hudson Yards as part of the club’s massive outdoor terrace. Broken Coconut offers members an inviting urban beach escape from the bustling streets of Manhattan, and will introduce its ‘beach to bowl’ concept exclusively to members of the Hudson Yards location in addition to a variety of specialty beverages.

Equinox Hotels, the first of which will debut at Hudson Yards, embodies the same holistic philosophy as Equinox Fitness Clubs and redefines "luxury" as the ultimate in experience and "travel" as a seamless extension of a life well-lived. Built to inspire a community of like-minded individuals and anchored by fitness and culture, the brand is for those who, in pursuit of their own maximum potential, want to rest and play as hard as they train and work. Hotel guests become Equinox Fitness Club members for the duration of their stay, with the opportunity to access all the aforementioned programming and amenities. The Hotel will also include a culinary concept from renowned restaurateur, Stephen Starr with extensive bar and lounge space for community building.

Via a partnership with premium flexible workspace provider Industrious, the two companies will offer co-branded workspaces known as Industrious at Equinox beginning at 35 Hudson Yards. Expect thoughtfully-designed, hospitality-driven workspaces with environments that are as inspiring as Equinox Fitness Clubs.
