PICTURE PURPLE.

“Working from home can come with a lot of unwanted and unexpected pressures, expectations, and anxieties,” says Yemie Sonuga in her Work From Home Break Headstrong meditation on Equinox+. “So let’s take this time to slow down and center inwards.” Get comfortable, taking deep breaths and melting into your space. Then bring your attention to your physical body. “Violet or purple is the color of universal connections and as we take up space in our mental universe we want to do the same in the physical, combining the red and blue aspects of our person, our strength and our tranquility, to create fulfillment.” Start to notice a purple light making its way into your mind’s eye and allow it to move upwards on your body from your toes to your shoulders. “Feel the radiance as the light warms your internal organs, surrounding your lungs, your heart, your liver, your kidneys, and then all the rest. Allow it to wash over your neck, taking up any stress, lifting it off your face and releasing it.”

CLEAR PORES WITH MINT.

The action of direct steam helps clear up pores, improve circulation, and can remove buildup, says Shrankhla Holecek, founder of UMA. She recommends filling a pot with water and throwing in a handful of mint leaves. Put the cover on and let it come to a boil. Turn off the stove, move the pot to a convenient place on a counter, and throw a towel over your head to let the steam work on your face from a safe distance (about a foot) above the pot. Do this one to two times a week.
