THE CHECK-IN
GLUTE MOVE: BROAD JUMP SHUFFLE
WORK WITH SEXUAL CONSTRAINTS.
Not literal constraints, figurative ones. “Couples are dealing with more stress and inhibitors to their sexual desire,” says Ian Kerner, Ph.D, LMFT, couples and individual sexuality counselor. Working within constraints—say, getting in a quickie or having morning sex if your evenings are chaotic—creates opportunity for new expressions of sexual connection, Kerner explains.
SKIP THE SPICE PRE-WORKOUT.
Caffeine and spicy foods before exercise can increase the release of neurotransmitters in the brain that can stimulate sweat glands, says Michael J. Ryan, Ph.D., a teaching assistant professor at West Virginia University. This is why some people start to sweat after eating spicy foods. The foods don’t actually raise the body’s temperature, but trick the brain into thinking you’re hotter than you are, he says. So, ditch the Sriracha or Tabasco on your pre-workout eggs.
