    1. What amenities does the club offer? [+]

      From luxurious spas to sun-soaked pool decks, at Equinox the difference is in the details. All of our clubs have world-class facilities, state-of-the-art equipment and inspiring group fitness classes, but each location is unique and some amenities and services vary slightly. Please visit your club’s homepage for a complete list of features.

    2. How often are the facilities cleaned? [+]

      Cleanliness is top priority at Equinox. We employ a large maintenance staff to keep our clubs clean no matter what time you visit. Expect multiple shower and steam room cleanings and regular studio, stretch mat and machine scrub downs. Wipes and hand sanitizer are also available to members on the club floor.

    3. Will I have to wait to use equipment? [+]

      During prime-time hours (lunchtime at corporate locations and after 5:00PM in residential clubs) you may find heavier usage, but you will never have to sign up for equipment or be limited in the amount of time you can use machinery.

    4. What about yoga, Pilates and group fitness? [+]

      The quality, breadth and accessibility of our studio offerings are a major draw for most of our members. Whether it’s a Pilates mat class, Vinyasa yoga or signature class like ViPR or Whipped, just drop in anytime. The only exception is cycling, for which you can reserve a bike up to 26 hours ahead of time using MyEQ.

  2. Membership
    1. I have an All Access Membership, does this give me access to International locations? [+]

      Your membership allows you access to almost all locations in North America. There are some exclusions and you should see your General Manager for details. Our Kensington, UK location is not included in an All Access membership, but you can upgrade to Destination Access to make use of this club.

    2. What kind of membership do you offer? [+]

      At Equinox, we have multiple membership options. The Select membership option gives access to one club, and our National options allow access to multiple locations. You can view these options online or have one of our membership advisors make a recommendation for you.

    3. Is membership month-to-month, or do you require a minimum time commitment? [+]

      Our membership agreement is a one-year commitment. However, we understand that special circumstances arise. Our membership advisors can walk you through your contract agreement.

    4. Can I freeze my membership? [+]

      Of course. Your membership can be frozen one time per contractual year for up to three months (a fee of $30/month will be assessed). If you’re sidelined for medical reasons, please let us know — we have additional options for members on medical leave.

    5. What is included in an Equinox membership? [+]

      As an Equinox member, you’ll receive unlimited access to our industry-leading group fitness classes, the latest in Schwinn technology for our renowned studio cycling programs, premier fitness floors complete with state-of-the-art equipment, rows of toning tools and highly educated personal trainers, all graduates from the Equinox Fitness Training Institute, to ensure you are achieving results. In addition, you’ll enjoy luxury amenities like Kiehl’s Since 1851, rejuvenating eucalyptus steam rooms and impeccable locker room facilities. In addition, new members are privy to these exclusive introductory services to ensure you get started right:

      • Unlimited access to innovative group fitness classes
      • A complimentary Equifit Assessment and personal training session. Our certified personal trainers will help you understand your current fitness level and take you through a custom routine
      • One complimentary, private Pilates session.

    6. How long will I retain my rate? [+]

      Your rate is guaranteed for one year from the day you join. Members will receive advance notice of any change in fees.

    7. Are there exclusive rates for membership? [+]

      We do not provide exclusive or discounted membership rates. Compromising our rates would mean compromising on the member experience.

    8. Do you offer special membership options for spouses/partners or families? [+]

      Yes. We want you to share the Equinox experience with friends and family. There are opportunities for spouses to join, however there are time limits once you’ve become a member. Please contact a membership advisor for details.

    9. Can I bring friends? [+]

      With your membership, you’ll get two guest passes to be used at your discretion. Plus, when you refer your friends you’ll get special rewards — like Equinox gift cards, spa services or a month’s membership.

    10. Am I able to attend any group fitness class as a member? [+]

      Yes. As a member you have unlimited access to our innovative and nationally recognized group fitness programs. Led by pioneers in the industry, our classes will keep you motivated and challenged.

    11. What do I need to know about your contract? [+]

      We believe it’s important to be open and honest in our membership process, the experience starts when you join. Here’s what is most relevant to know: • Our memberships are for one year with reasonable accommodations for those who are unable to continue exercising or who relocate. We ask for advance notification of several weeks before cancelling. • Our memberships can be placed on hold. There is a nominal fee if placed on hold for non-medical reasons. • There is no fee to transfer a select membership from one club to another. • A rate will be assessed if upgrading to a membership option that includes more clubs. There are no secrets, and if you have any additional questions don’t hesitate to ask.

    12. Can I try the club? [+]

      If you are unsure of the club and its features, we suggest you visit a location and experience it for yourself.
      Schedule an appointment with a membership advisor for a guided tour. If you decide that you need to try a complimentary workout to make your decision, our team will be happy to set that up.

  3. Getting Started
    1. I’ve become a member. What’s next? [+]

      Welcome to the club! Visit the front desk and we’ll get you started with a complimentary Equifit fitness assessment and introductory personal training and Pilates sessions. Members also receive 10% off all spa services.

    2. What should I bring for the locker room? [+]

      We have a complimentary coat check and day lockers, so you’ll just need a secure lock. Our vanity areas are complete with salon-quality hair-dryers, deodorant, hair gel, mouthwash, razors, shaving cream, Kiehl’s since 1851 products and plush organic towels. Permanent lockers and laundry service are also available for an additional fee.

    3. Should I work with a trainer? [+]
