Coming to your location Spring, Summer or Fall of 2011, the Pure Yoga Teacher Training is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance approved foundation yoga teacher training and certification. This teacher training is suitable for anyone who is interested in delving deeper into their yoga practice or for those who seek to become certified yoga instructors. Drawing together world-class yoga instructors from across the country, this multi-faceted training gives trainees the opportunity to learn from the best of the best. The training is comprehensive and includes in depth study of alignment, anatomy, yoga sequencing, teaching skills, philosophy and inner development.
Each weekend module of the training will be focused on various topics of the curriculum including physical practice, philosophy, anatomy lectures, workshop exploration of teaching and community building. Lots of time is given for question and answer sessions. There is a comprehensive reading list, 6 homework assignments and out of training contact hours with your lead teacher trainers during their classes. Pure Yoga Teacher Training @ Equinox offers a dynamic, integrative approach to the art of living and embodying yoga, and you will leave the program evolved and ready to integrate the diversity of your experience into your life and on your mat. Yes, this training is registered with Yoga Alliance. Started in 1999, the Yoga Alliance is an independent group that sets standards for training yoga instructors. Although there is no legal certification to become a yoga instructor, most studios and gyms require proof of completion of a Yoga Alliance registered teacher training to begin teaching classes.
