LIFE SUSTAINS

Although Equinox has always been eco-conscious in design and philosophy, we’ve recently taken our initiatives a step further in an attempt to make our ecological footprint a little lighter.

Take a look at some of the progressive, environmentally friendly changes taking place at locations nationwide, making our clubs – and our planet – a healthier place.

  • Carefully selected finish materials such as tiles, paint and wood products that include low Volatile Organic Compounds (harmful gases emitted from certain solids and liquids like paint and cleaning products)

  • Building with rapidly renewable materials such as cork and bamboo flooring

  • Green cleaning solutions that are all-natural and virtually fume-free

  • Formaldehyde-free wood products

  • Carbon monoxide detectors and high-performance air filters

  • Exclusive partnerships with GE Water, Trion Air and LED Lighting to bring innovative, eco-friendly technology solutions to the clubs by way of purified air, timed lighting and tastier water

  • Storage and collection areas for recyclable items

  • Flow-reducing controls that use less than 1/5 the water and still provide a luxurious, drenching stream

  • Cream-colored towels (instead of traditional white) washed in energy-efficient laundry machines, which use a lower temperature, save energy and water

  • Close proximities to public transportation and public bike racks
